George Smith furniture has a distinguished history dating back to the early nineteenth century. The original designer made furniture in a wide, eclectic range of tastes based generally on the late neo-classical style, but also including neo-gothic style work and chinoiserie. George Smith craftsmen today continue the traditions of classic craftsmanship developed generations ago and build handmade furniture using only the finest natural raw materials, with many of the styles still based on the original designs.
James Bond also has a notable history. October 5th (Global James Bond Day) marked 50 years since the release of the first James Bond film. So this month, commemorate not only James Bond who is among the world’s greatest British heroes, but also George Smith, who is among the world’s greatest British furniture designers.
