Brian Belott: A Goosh Noosh

Brian Belott's A Goosh Noosh exhibit will be on view at Zürcher Studio through November 11, 2012. Belott's twinkling paintings encompass the reverse-glass technique, a process in which the artist applies paint to a piece of glass and then turns the glass over so the image can be viewed that way. Belott builds on this process though by embedding found objects behind the glass (most recently patterned girls' socks) in a reflective grid. The artist's unique approach is mesmerizing. Zürcher Studio is located at 33 Bleecker Street.
