KABO&PYDO at Messe Frankfurt's Ambiente

Katarzyna Borkowska and Tomasz Pydo of KABO&PYDO design and manufacture furniture, ceramics, glass, and lighting—all of which are created to form a functional design solution. The design duo introduced such innovative products that they were invited to join the Talents section of Messe Frankfurt's Ambiente fair. The "Talents" program is a prestigious springboard for up-and-coming designers to showcase their wares at one of the largest international consumer goods fairs in the world. One of KABO&PYDO's most ingenious designs is their Catering Set. Specifically designed to solve the solutions most people experience at cocktail parties, the duo created plates that have an indention where a glass can be placed in by the stem—holding it up and freeing your hands to eat or properly greet fellow guests. The rest of the set consists of serving plates in various shapes such as hexagons, rhombuses and triangles. The structures not only help the host organize table space efficiently, but the plates form a composition that resembles art.
