Sergio Rodrigues at R 20th Century

R 20th Century Gallery is home to a variety of designs by Brazilian architect and designer Sergio Rodrigues. An ambassador of Brazilian modernisim, the designer uses materials native to his country to promote a sense of solidarity to Brazil. Rodrigues' "Sheriff" chair, launched in 1958, won first prize at the Italian Furniture Fair in 1961. The designer combines classical detailing and traditional woodworking with contemporary shapes to achieve his unique style.
