UNVEILED: SEM Style Comes Home at the NYDC Masquerade Ball Contest
Oct 20, 2010
We are so excited to have teamed up with Design-Calendar and the New York Design Center to countdown to one of the most anticipated (and FUN!) events of the entire year: The NYDC Masquerade Ball.
Now in its fifth year, the theme for 2010 is Le Vrai et Le Faux Chic, inspired by the famed artist George Goursat and his portrayals of Paris at the turn of the century. The Calendar Girls clued us in to the fact that many of them can be likened to the gorgeous product that graces the halls of the NYDC!
So we decided it would be fun to get a little competition going as a countdown to the ball. We've pulled a selection of furniture, lighting, accessories, bedding and more, that mirror the elements of the sketches, and all from companies that can be found in the NYDC of course. Check Design-Calendar each day leading up to the masquerade ball, as they'll posting one of these per day. Study it, then head over to www.newyorkspacesmag.com/nydc for our selection of products for the day. See if you have the same SEM style and can guess which one we've dubbed the best match! Everyday is a new vote, so check back daily. Whoever has the MOST correct matches by Wednesday, October 27 WINS! If we end up with a tie, we’ll do a random drawing of those who had the most matches. The winner will be announced on the 27th and awarded a $100 gift certificate to Padre Figlio! MMMMmmm Italian...
You've seen the first sketch, now here's our first round of matches. Vote for which one you think best matches this cocky gentleman. Check back at Design-Calendar tomorrow to view the next sketch.
And finally - don't forget to get your tickets to the ball ($125 in advance, $150 at door - 212.594.7320), proceeds benefit the Alpha Workshop.
Please click on the photo to see its number. When you've made your guess for the best match, place that number into the form below the images.
